Lacoste LS.12 Sneakers

In 1987 the secret weapon of tennis chaps eager to play hard but go easy on their soles was called the “Éclair”. Twenty-seven years later, it’s back, and ready to take on an even tougher scene.

Designed for the streets, the new Lacoste LS.12 collection hasn’t changed but looks entirely new. Monochrome, crafted from a combination of punched calfskin leather and tone-on-tone suede, with a thick sole fashioned for the asphalt, the LS.12 unites comfort and elegance and makes a distinctive addition to the season’s urban looks with a touch of chic in each and every detail.

A sport-inspired design – drawing its sports lines from the brand’s heritage, the design is loyal to its original style with a thick sole conceived to withstand wear and to ensure optimum comfort.

A nod to the original model, it features a thick sole, ideal for resisting both tennis courts and city streets. Masculine monochrome – the trainer offers the modern man an elegant palette of monochrome shades. The model discards the required tennis court white for a range of new urban colours: navy, blue, asphalt black or dark brown.

Last week Lacoste celebrated with a sneaker launch event in East London at the Shoreditch Studios which attracted exclusive guests such as Alistar Guy, Toddla T, Tom Hughes and Becca Dudley.
