Get Fashion Fit with Superdry Sport

No one likes to be seen wearing boring kit to the gym anymore. Long gone are the days of wearing a worn out cotton t-shirt with a pair of hand-me-down shorts you’ve kept from University. Its all about the neon colours and technologically advanced designs. Ever-growing international brand Superdry have jumped on the activewear band wagon by adding another string to their bow with their new men's sports line. The collection went on sale on their website last week and launched in stores this week.

As always with Superdry it is quite an extensive collection ranging from running hoodies, lightweight basic t-shirts and leggings to bomber and Henley tops and gym tech shorts. The colours available are quite limited, however this makes it a really smart looking collection and easy for you to mix and match pieces for a variation in looks. You can choose from black, fluro orange (not currently available online) and light or dark 'grey grit'. To make the kit really stand out, reflective taping and stitching has been added to some pieces which will certainly come in useful for those night time runs.

Typically a lot of attention has been paid to the detailing on each piece. The Superdry logo is present throughout but is not too overbearing compared to their previous mainline collections. There are also many hints of neon orange, on bungie cords and paneling, which works extremely well with the grey and black. The key selling point with this collection is that it has not just been designed to look good but also to feel good and provide the technology needed to prevent sweating and overheating. Moisture wicking fabrics have been used with the t-shirts and leggings, and brushed fleece has been used with the hoodies to keep you warm when needed. Many of the pieces also have pockets with secure zips so you can keep your keys and cards safe whilst working out.

Superdry have definitely started off well with their debut sports collection, aiming to make it the kit you would feel comfortable and cool in when travelling to and from the gym. A piece of advice when making a purchase, the collection has been produced using 'second-skin' fabrics, for maximum high performance, and therefore is designed to be very tight fitting to the body. So if you prefer a looser fit make sure you go up a couple of sizes. My personal favourite pieces are the Gym Tech Funnel Hoodie (£59.99) and the Gym Sport Runner Short Sleeve Top (£29.99).
