We’ve taken a look at the new release Home and Away football kits seen across the English Premier League, Italian Serie A and Spanish La Liga de Fútbol Profesional to pick out the most stylish kits of the forthcoming season. Let us know which gets your vote in the comments section below.

Paris Saint-Germain

Reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain will defend its title in the 2016-17 season wearing a sophisticated new Nike Vapor home kit with AeroSwift technology, affording a modern interpretation of the club’s iconic stripe. The new shirt’s body boasts traditional PSG blue with a modern V-neck collar while its signature center stripe is now broader and formed by a collection of red pinstripes bordered on either side by a defining white stripe. The subsequent bold graphic celebrates the history and DNA of the Paris club, while the shirt’s sleeves and shoulders feature a contrasting agility rib fabric. With subtle stripes in two tones of blue, the textile creates a color shift when players are in motion.

Manchester City

Manchester City’s new 2016-17 away kit with Nike AeroSwift Technology blends cutting edge performance with the club's rich heritage. The kit is predominantly black with red detailing and flashes of yellow. The look is inspired by famous black and red kits of Manchester City’s past and a Manchester icon: the worker bee. The insect has been synonymous with Manchester since the early nineteenth century when it was first used to symbolise the city’s rapid growth during the Industrial Revolution. Since 1842 Manchester’s coat of arms has featured seven worker bees, and the insect can also be seen throughout the city on buildings, bridges, bollards, and a floor mosaic in the Town Hall.

AC Milan

After the red & black adidas jersey launch in May which is inspired by the definition “We’ll be a team of devils” given by Herbert Kilpin, the founder of AC Milan, the new away kit was conceived in contrast with a dark home kit - generating the “Devils/Angels” antithesis through a total white look in order to emphasize the elegance that the club represents both on and off the pitch. The away jersey is white with gold details, recalling the success and trophies that mark AC Milan’s history. The sides of the kit feature a red stripe that runs the length of the shirt and white shorts. Expanding when the player is in motion, the stripe maximizes ventilation. Red socks, with a darker red linear graphic on the calf, showcase the club's traditonal secondary color and accentuate speed.

Manchester Utd

adidas and Manchester United’s home jersey for the 2016/17 season takes inspiration from the club's early years as Newton Heath LYR Football Club. In the second year of the partnership with Manchester United, adidas has taken cues from the Club's illustrious history, with a two tone red split design evoking the two-tone Newton Heath kit of 1878. The official coat of arms for the City of Manchester was the basis behind the idea for the honeycomb graphic that knits together the two red block designs on the shirt. It was also inspired by the worker bee which appears in the crest and originates from the Industrial Revolution, in which Manchester played a significant role. The strong work ethic of the city is also part of the club's DNA, instilled in the players whenever they pull on the jersey and represent the Club.

Juventus

The away jersey 2016/17 comes with a two-toned blue design creating a dynamic effect which recalls the home jersey’s design. A crew-neck model, the new away jersey features the adidas white logo on the right and the Juventus crest with three gold stars on the left. The iconic three stripes on the shoulders are white. The collar and the sleeve cuffs are black and white. To complete the kit: white shorts with the adidas logo in blue and blue socks with white details. The new away kit will be worn for the first time in one of the pre-season friendly match, during the Australian summer tour.

Chelsea

Chelsea Football Club and adidas Football’s new home kit for the 2016/17 season shows the two facets of the club, the new kit presents the proud traditions of the club’s heritage and on the other a determined mission to strive to be the best. With a focus on simple elegance and tradition, the new home shirt remains in a classic blue with white detailing; featuring a new side adidas three stripe execution and a classic V-neck collar with a fitted collar tape. The lead design feature takes its inspiration from the heart of the club crest with tonal lions adorning the sleeves and jersey front.

FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona’s new Nike Vapor away kit with AeroSwift technology blends the iconic red and blue colors of the home kit to produce a unique and bold new purple away kit for the 2016-17 season. Team captain Andrés Iniesta declares, "The fusion of the traditional red and blue makes this shirt fresh and striking, but at the same time connected with our history. In addition, thanks to the new technology we feel much more agile and fast.” The advanced performance technology in the kit is visible on the chest, where engineered knit zones create a geometric pattern that enhances fit with smaller mesh shapes at the bottom of the graphic. The sleeves and the upper back have been infused with black to produce a darker purple.

FC Bayern Munich

The FC Bayern Munich kit for the 2016/17 season is by adidas. The design pays tribute to the club's Bavarian roots as they aim for more Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League glory in the forthcoming campaign. The new third kit is white with silver accents, in a nod to the club's European success, and is completed with a burgundy collar. The adidas three stripes have been moved from the shoulder to the side panels and the sleeves feature a subtle diamond pattern. The diamond pattern is echoed in the centre of the club's crest and is a replication of the same pattern which appears on the flag of Bavaria, to showcase the club's regional heritage. The shirt also features the Bayern Munich motto "Mia san mia," which translates as "We are who we are," on the inside of the shirt's collar.
